This is beautiful, Marie. That even though some people may have thought that you should just give him the cardboard box (because he's 12 and not interested in how it looks); that wasn't your heart at all. You wanted it to speak love from the first glimpse all the way to what was inside. This says a lot about you...you're an amazing girl.

And I love that Jesus cares about everything in our lives, no matter how big or how small. That He was there, ready to meet this challenge, He just wanted an invitation. I love His love and creativity. Our Lord is BEYOND amazing. He's beautiful in every way. :)

So...you never told us...how did your son like his gift? Knowing him, he was probably so excited about it and loved everything about it.

And I am going (right after I'm done here) to see what Abba has for me today. To sit at His feet and listen to His heart. Sometimes this is an area where I have trouble. Sitting and patiently waiting on Him to answer my heart. I know He will not let me down. Thanks Marie for your beautiful post, but most importantly, your beautiful friendship. :)

Amen! Jesus is always working on our hearts and in our lives! It's so encouraging to know that when we don't have the means to do something He does and He can do amazing things in us and through us if only we trust Him!
